Another Great House Sitting Experience
After our first House Sitting experience in Carnarvon in WA, we were convinced this was a great way to stay in locations a bit longer and really get to appreciate exploring the local area without being in a rush.
And of course the added bonus of not having to pay for somewhere to park.
As we were soon approaching Perth, we started to look for House Sitting opportunities so that we could stay a while. We were astounded by how many people out there offering this service, admittedly not all suited us, due to the size of our motorhome, but what we found was that most people wanting their home to be looked after, preferred travellers with their own accommodation, as it meant they did not have to enter their personal space.
We eventually settled on a 3 week house sitting job in the northern suburbs of Perth, it was in suburbia, but you would be surprised where you can fit an old school bus. Perched up on the front lawn, we arrived a few days before hand to get to know our hosts and the pets we would be looking after.

This time, we were going to look after a dog, a rabbit, and birds and as a bonus the pool. Once again Power and Water was included, which we were so grateful for as there happened to be a heat wave for a few days while we were there.
House Sitting once again gave us the ideal opportunity to stay in one location and have a good look around. We were able to explore Perth and its surrounding suburbs in our leisure and take it all in, enjoying days around the pool in between. Having pets to look after was also a highlight for the kids.
