Caravan Park Been Given the Nod to Sell Alcohol at Its Kiosk

Wentworth Shire Council has voted in favour of approving the owners of Curlwaa Caravan Park who have applied for a liquor licence claim have to sell packaged liquor at its kiosk.

Right across the street from the scenic Murray River at the Silver City and Calder Highway intersection is located an idyllic 20-acre peaceful park with large grassy sites for campers and visitors from all over the world. The Curlwaa Caravan Park is the ideal place for a weekend getaway or a six-month extended stay.
Park owner Richard Young said many guests wanted to be able to buy liquor on site. “For that reason we have decided to apply for a licence for our in-house guests.”
He said he was pleased with Councillors voting in favor of his request, after the application was knocked back previously in a council meeting in May.
Mr Young claimed that the packaged liquor licence will support tourism growth to the region, reminding visitors that the alcohol will only be sold to tourists in the park only.
