Kroombit Tops National Park, Biloela, QLD – Low Cost Camping

Kroombit Tops National Park is 85 km south-west of Gladstone. Here you camp directly with nature, with no facilities.

There are three main camping areas… Griffiths Creek Camping Area, Razorback Camping Area and the Wall Camping Area.
You must have a camping permit. Fees are $5.75 per person or $23.00 per family. Students are cheaper, at $3.20 per student.
Griffiths Creek camping area can only be accessed by conventional vehicle in dry conditions.
Razorback camping area is accessible by four wheel drive.
The Wall camping area access is rough and suitable for high clearance four wheel drives only. There are some pretty steep rocky sections to negotiate.
There are no facilities so if you are heading to Kroombit Tops, you must be fully self sufficient.
One of the highlights is the resting place of “Beautiful Betsy” a WWII Liberator Bomber that crashed in 1945. There are several walking tracks ranging from an easy 10 min amble to much longer more challenging hikes.
Stunningly beautiful, Kroombit Tops is well worth the visit.
