There is a popular saying among caravanners,
“ In by Mothers Day, out by Fathers Day”
It refers to the annual migration of travellers heading north for the winter. But, we think there is so much more to this region, so rather than rush through, we would encourage you to stop a little longer and take the time to explore.
Outback Queensland is a massive area that covers from Mt Isa in the North West down as far South to Cunnamulla, Far West to Birdsville and East to Biloela, with many iconic Queensland towns in between.

Whilst there are some well-known attractions along the way including the Stockman’s Hall of Fame @ Longreach, and the recently rebuilt Waltzing Matilda Center @ Winton there is so much more to offer which is what we want to showcase over the coming months.
