Set amongst beautiful gardens, the Windorah Visitor Information Centre and Whitula Gate Museum are a welcome stop for visitors to Windorah.
The Staff at the Information Centre can help you with information regarding road conditions, places to see and things to do in Barcoo Shire. They also sell a range of maps, souvenirs, local crafts and books.
Call in a enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee, wander around the free Whitula Gate Museum which will take visitors back in time or just enjoy your cuppa on the verandah watching the world go by. The museum display is also home to a large array of aboriginal grinding tools and axes, and also a gunyah.
A wonderful place to browse around, find about Windorah’s history, view the impressive “Cooper Queen” and chat to locals about their great little town.
