Set in rolling lush green hills, only 1.5 kms from the charming historic village of Childers, Vintner’s Secret is so much more than just a vineyard. Owners Marianne Lethbridge and Ed Murray have transformed Vintner’s Secret Vineyard from a small hobby farm into an award-winning tourist destination. With its backdrop of beautiful views, picturesque manicured six acres of working vineyard, sculptures, water features, art, shady gardens, flower beds and peaceful atmosphere, Vintner’s Secret Vineyard offers visitors and travellers a relaxed and fun-filled experience that is suitable for all ages.

Marianne and Ed have created beautiful, picturesque and well maintained outdoor spaces for you to enjoy the finest wines, excellent food, exceptional service and the numerous and interesting activities available for everyone including children.

Spend the whole day at Vintner’s Secret Vineyard, sample award-winning wines, stroll through the beautiful gardens, enjoy a bite to eat at the cafe or simply have a picnic or BBQ. Visit the Gourmet and Gift shop and children and the young at heart have not   been forgotten. They will love the dedicated heritage play area with games or patting and interacting with the many tame, hand fed farm animals that include, miniature dexter cows, horses, alpacas, dogs, geese and a pig.

Whisper’s Café
Open from 10am – 4pm Wednesday to Sunday
Enjoy morning or afternoon tea in the cafe that serves light refreshments, barista coffee, specialty teas, homemade cakes and savouries as well as a selection of delicious meals made with local seasonal produce for lunch. Bookings are essential.

The High Teas and assorted Cheese Platters are favourites for a special day out or try our Picnic Baskets to sit and enjoy a leisurely picnic at one of our beautiful spots.

BBQ Available – BYO Food
Why not bring along your own food and make use of the BBQ facilities for a nominal fee. Enjoy lunch in the vineyard with plenty to see and do and why not ask our vintner about the best wine to accompany your lunch?

HOW TO GET THERE
Childers is located directly on the Bruce Highway between Gladstone to the north, Maryborough to the south, and Bundaberg to the east. To get to the Winery, head into the CBD and then into Ridgeway Street just near the Peanut Van. Drive past the high school and follow the signs to the vineyard, which is approximately 1.35km east of the town centre. Look for the entrance on your left hand side which is well sign posted.

SITE ACCESS
Once at the site, drive up a gently sloping driveway, approx. 500m long and look for the large sign Vintners Secret Vineyard where you will see a large area of grass and mango trees to park.

The Cellar Door – Wine Sampling
Comfortable seating, welcoming ambience and sweeping valley views, makes the perfect place to relax as you sample some of the boutique wines and port from the extensive range available. Purchase a bottle of your favourite wine to take home or to simply enjoy in one of the beautiful locations around the grounds. Locally made gifts and other specialty items are also available for purchase.

Arts & Sculpture
The art and sculpture aspect of Vintner’s Secret Vineyard offers lots of fun and creativity. Throughout the gardens and in the cellar door there are displays of works by local artists. Much of their work is for sale.

Gourmet & Gift Shop
An intimate gift shop featuring products such as Organic jewellery, Specialty Teas,
New & Pre-loved Collectable China and Napery, French-Style Home Decor items,
Vintage hand-made aprons and tea cosies, Hand-made paper journals and stationery,
Local Gourmet Products, Shabby Chic Furniture and Outdoor Garden Décor items.
