Richmond River Camping (CG)

Sometimes you want to escape the caravan parks and just get back to nature, and here at Richmond River Camping, you can do just that. This perfect little piece of paradise.

The site is located on the beautiful Richmond River on a level grassed area surrounded by shade trees. The boat ramp is adjacent to the campground, perfect if you have a boat, kayak or stand up paddle board with you. There is an undercover area with table and light, just connect a generator, a campfire pit in front of the camping area too. This pet friendly camping spot is great for a few families or group bookings. Can accommodate Big Rigs also.

You’ll need to be self-sufficient as there is no power but you can use your generator (respectfully with any other campers in mind) or one can be hired for your stay if needed. Closest Dump Point is at Woodburn, on pacific highway.

HOW TO GET THERE
Coming from Woodburn on Pacific Highway, turn over the bridge in the main street opposite the shops towards Wyrallah.Travel 3.5km then turn Right onto Wyrallah Road, after 400m turn left onto Oakland Road.Travel 7km just after a bend in the road you will see a mist green shipping container on your left.

From South Lismore, travel to Coraki and turn left at Coraki-Casino Road. (Queen Elizabeth Drive). Turn right into Adam Street (Primary School on the corner),travel straight ahead over the concrete bridge after 1km turn right into Oakland Road. After 6km and the campsite will be on your right just before the shipping container.

THINGS TO DO
Great spot for swimming, fishing or exploring the river on the creek in your kayak or boat. Pubs with bistro meals located at Woodburn, courtesy bus available for a minimum of 4 persons.

Casino is only 30 minutes from the campsite with Evans Head surfing beach just twenty minutes away. Ballina is also just 35 minutes, so it really is a perfect spot to base yourselves for a while.
