Nuga Nuga bush camping – Nuga Nuga National Park (CG)

Nuga Nuga bush camping area features a remote bush camping spot on the banks of Lake Nuga Nuga. 4WD vehicles are recommended. It is accessible for off-road camper trailers, off-road caravans and off-road motorhomes during dry weather.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car: walk-in camping: off-road caravans: off-road camper trailers: off-road motorhomes and large groups.
Camp site surface: dirt.

SITE ACCESS
The camping area is located near the information stand and accessed from the main road to the park, 7 km from Arcadia Valley Access Road.
From Roma on the Warrego Highway, turn onto Carnarvon Developmental Road and travel north 89 km to Injune. Continue north 37 km from Injune, then turn right onto Arcadia Valley Access Road. Travel 83 km on gravel road (some sections sealed) to the Lake Nuga Nuga Road turnoff.
From Rolleston, travel south-east on the Dawson Highway for 28 km and turn right at Arcadia Valley Access Road. Travel 58 km on gravel and turn right at the Lake Nuga Nuga turnoff.
Neither route is suited to wet weather travel. The last 7 km into the national park requires caution in wet weather. 4WD vehicles recommended.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Fees for camping permits are:
$5.75 per person per night or $23.00 per family group per night.
$3.20 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
There are no facilities available on the camp site.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
