Cronan Creek 9 bush camp site features a shaded area located on the bank of Cronan Creek near the base of Mount Barney. A 1 hr walk from Yellow Pinch along a fire trail. This is a moderate walk.
Number of sites: No defined sites. Maximum of 12 people.
Camp sites are suitable for: self-sufficient, walk-in camping.
Camp site surface: Soil and leaf litter.

SITE ACCESS
From Brisbane via Rathdowney.
Follow the Mount Lindesay Highway through Beaudesert to Rathdowney. Turn right on to the Boonah-Rathdowney Road 1 km after Rathdowney and travel 8 km to the Barney View-Upper Logan Road turn-off. After turning left, follow the signs to either Lower Portals or Yellow Pinch.
From Boonah
Follow the Boonah-Rathdowney Road south for 39 km. Turn right on to the Barney View-Upper Logan Road, travel a further 12 km and follow the signs to either the Lower Portals or Yellow Pinch.
To get to the Cleared Ridge car park and the Upper Portals track, turn off the Boonah-Rathdowney Road onto Newman Road, then turn left onto Waterfall Creek Road. A 4WD vehicle is required for access beyond the Waterfall Creek Reserve to the Cleared Ridge car park.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Fees for camping permits are:
$5.75 per person per night or $23.00 per family group per night.
$3.20 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
There are no facilities on this campsite. Must be self-sufficient. Water collected from creeks should be treated before drinking.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
