Comeroo Station, 150km northwest of Bourke NSW, encompasses a vast area of over 100,000 acres of Australia’s red and black soil and situated beside the Maranoa Waterhole, a scenic 6km stretch of permanent water. Comeroo is a working sheep & cattle station and a must stop for travellers and families who want to experience life in the outback. With plenty of room for caravans and campers, owners Bruce and Chris Sharpe also provide alternate bungalow accommodation and are more than happy for you to stay a day, a week, or even a month.

Comeroo is pet-friendly and suitable for tents, caravans, motorhomes, and larger RV’s. Powered and unpowered sites are available with camping sites alongside the Cuttaburra Creek, so if you simply decide you want to sleep under the stars in a swag, the choice is all yours. Toilets and showers are available for your convenience and a large undercover communal kitchen with a bar area to experience what bush hospitality and delicious bush tucker are like, all while enjoying the amazing red sunsets that Australia is famous for.

Spend the day exploring the property where you may even spot a camel or two or watch the kids as they enjoy feeding the animals. In the evenings sit around the campfire or you are more than welcome to join Bruce and Chris and other campers over a beer, a steak on the B.B.Q, or a camp oven dinner in the established homestead gardens. After dinner relax and unwind under the starry night sky in Mother Nature’s own open-air artesian spa. The 44 degrees Celsius natural therapeutic healing mineral waters that flow out 100,000 gals a day and come from deep underground, will ease away your aches and pains of the day while you soak away the stresses of city life.

Comeroo Station offers other accommodation options for family and friends who aren’t the avid camper but who want to join you and enjoy the complete outback experience. There is something for everyone with Bungalows to suit one person right through to large families or social groups.

Bruce and Chris look forward to showing you what it means to simply relax and soak up their Back o’ Bourke hospitality.
