This RV Stop Over is within short walking distance to the Amamoor General Store. There are no facilities at the site other than a garbage bin. It is small cleared site adjacent to the Recreation Grounds. There is no parking permitted on the actual grounds themselves which are fenced and gated. The site is grass and is reasonably level. The toilets at the Recreation grounds are locked and the nearest toilets are at the site of the old Amamoor Railway station but the keys are only available at the General Store during opening hours. It is best suited to FSCV. The Recreation Grounds are used on the weekends for flying of model airplanes.
HOW TO GET THERE
Amamoor is located in the Mary Valley. Access from the south is via Mary Valley Link Road direct off the Bruce Highway. This leads to the Mary Valley Road, then turn off into Blackgate Road and follow for about 3km and turn right into Busby Street, which leads into the main township. Just past the Blue & White Teapot Cafe, turn Right into Amamoor Street and follow it for approximately 500m where you will drive onto the camp site.
SITE ACCESS
Site access is straight off Amamoor Street which is dirt road, but is very firm and compact, there is room to turn around a big rig if there are not many other vans on site. The site reasonably level.

There are no fees to stay at the site, and no bookings required. As there are no fees, they would appreciate you supporting the town.
THINGS TO DO
Amamoor is the closest town to the site of the Gympie Muster held in August each year. It is surrounded by State Forest with many tracks to explore. The model airplane club meets each Sunday at the Recreation Grounds. There is Horse riding at the Mary Valley Adventure Trails and the Amama Walking track and cascades a few kilometers west of town. It is also only 6.5km north of Kandanga, and 18km south of the nearest major center being Gympie.
