The Wellington Shire region, which is in Central Gippsland, is a very diverse area with much to see. It stretches from the snowfields to the ocean including the longest unbroken stretch of beach in the world known as the Ninety Mile Beach. It also has beautiful National Parks, High Country and Wetlands within an hours drive of Sale.

Wellington Visitor Information Centre – Sale offer many activities for visitors to the regions, some of which are water activities on Lake Wellington such as water skiing, sailing, canoeing and swimming. While in the region you can also go cycling, horse riding, bush walking or hiking along the picturesque landscape.

The Wellington Region also has many art galleries, museums and antique shops. They have a variety of fishing activities from surf fishing, fly fishing, trout fishing, ocean fishing or charter fishing.

ACCESS:
The Wellington Visitor Information Centre – Sale can be found on the Princes Highway, Melbourne side of Sale – near the caravan park. Just look for the yellow ‘i’ on the roof. The South Gippsland Highway intersects with the Princes Highway at Sale, so check at the Information Centre before taking the southern journey.
