The Great Wall of Mudgee Campsite is situated between Bathurst and Mudgee, just 40 minutes from Hill End and 35 minutes from Sofala. Its rolling hills and rich history of the Gold Rush era are a must to see. The property itself, however, has walks and scenery of its own with more than enough to occupy your whole weekend. 4WD access is advisable.
Our property is located along a creek, that loops around the property for about 2km and there are several spots to swim including some great watering holes in The Gorge. There is also a drive up the mountain to breathtaking views for kilometres. Enjoy sunset drinks up there!
Set beside Tindalls Ridge mountain, the property allows you to enjoy the landscape in comfort. Wake up and enjoy breakfast and your morning coffee watching the morning mist roll over the end of the mountain, or watch the animals walk, fly or hop by.
Explore bushwalking tracks, swimming holes, and picnic spots. Walk along The Great Wall of Mudgee, a 600-metre water race once built by the early settlers and Chinese during the 1800’s Gold Rush, or explore the remains of the old gold mines.
