Temora is well known as an RV friendly town, so for travellers passing through or wanting to stay in Temora, the beautifully maintained Railway Station Free Camp is an ideal place to stop, shop and enjoy everything that Temora has to offer. Located in the heart of town, the free camp offers basic facilities and is suitable for fully self-contained caravans and motorhomes only. A maximum stay of 48 hrs applies.
Located off Parkes Street, the site is within walking distance of local parks, cafes and eateries and only two blocks to the main shopping precinct. The Campsite is adjacent to the restored Temora Railway Station and Federal Park, with free BBQ’s, picnic area, modern toilets, children’s play equipment, sound shell and skate park. The facility is operated by Temora Shire Council and maintained by the local youth team. Donations to support youth team projects are appreciated via the onsite donations box.
Temora showcases many beautiful historic buildings and sports enthusiasts are spoilt by a wide range of well-maintained recreation facilities including outdoor and indoor (heated) swimming pools, two golf courses, tennis club with café, free skate park, squash courts, football and cricket ovals, and much more.
HOW TO GET THERE
Temora lies between West Wyalong and Wagga Wagga on the Goldfields Way (B85). From the North or South drive into the centre of town to the roundabout and turn west at the Railway Hotel into Parkes Street which leads directly into the Station.
If approaching from East or West on the B94 turn North when you reach the B85 and proceed as above.

This 55 acre man made lake is popular for water skiing, canoeing, sailing, swimming, fishing and power boating and features a V8 Jetsprint boat racing course, a boat ramp for easy access and picnic facilities for you to enjoy a day out on the lake. Or simply enjoy a leisurely 2.7km picturesque walk on the path around the lake.
Ariah Park Heritage Tour
Journey 25 minutes west of Temora and discover a village that has changed little since the roaring 1920s.
