Capture the beautiful view of Point Malcolm Lighthouse.
The Narrung Jetty Reserve is a lakeside camping area near the settlement of Narrung, right beside the huge Lake Alexandrina.
This is a spacious large flat camping area with plenty of grassed sites suitable for caravans and big rigs.
The area offers a 72hour maximum stay, with toilets, mobile phone service, and fishing from a small jetty right at the campground.
HOW TO GET THERE
Take Poltalloch Road off the Princes Highway 31km SOuth of Tailem Bend. To access the camping area a ferry is used to cross a small section of the waterway, this ferry is suitable for big rigs and is free to use. Alternatively use Princes Highway to Meningie and then along Narrung Road around Lake Albert, however, it will take more time to do this road. It is a great loop road either way.

There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the local community.

THINGS TO DO
The site is excellent for swimming.
Visitors may also visit Raukkan, a small Aboriginal community just west of Narrung on the Lake Alexandrina and Point Malcolm Lighthouse which overlooks the Narrung Narrows. It is the only inland lighthouse in the southern hemisphere.
Campbell House and Campbell Park – homes of original landowners along Narrung Road.
The Barrages at Pelican Point, where the freshwater meets the salty Coorong water. Home to a great number and variety of birds, however, there is no public access.
Poltalloch is one of the most significant pastoral properties on Lake Alexandrina. It was established in 1839 by Neill Malcolm of the Poltalloch Estate in Scotland. Today, it is on the Register of the National Heritage Estate (near Point Malcolm Lighthouse).
