Note Ref Seasonal Opening: The park will be open to campers only from October through to April 7 end of May, bookings must be made online as below from Septemeber onwards.
Located on the Tasman Highway half way between Launceston and Scottsdale on the tourist route near the base of the scenic Sideling Ranges. Myrtle Park is bordered by the beautiful St Patricks River which is one of the better fishing rivers in Tasmania. Large open spaces with plenty of shade trees and surrounded by some of the best scenery you will ever see, Myrtle Park is an excellent area to base yourself to see much of the North East of Tassie, being only 25 minutes from a major town either way you travel, while feeling like you are miles from anywhere.
Only 2 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk to Mountain Stream Fishery and a short drive to areas like the Mt Barrow pinnacle lookout or the multiple vineyards of the area, Myrtle Park is very central to the North East in general.
Heaps of space to relax by the river, play a round of cricket or tennis or through a frisbie for the dogs. Excellent on-site facilities including a large community hall that can be booked for get-togethers or functions. The onsite kiosk does takeaways, groceries and needed supplies and firewood.
