ABOUT US
Mavis’s Kitchen and Cabins, is nestled at the base of the majestic Wollumbin-Mt Warning and is the perfect place for some hinterland country dining with family and friends. Surrounded by World Heritage rainforest and the fertile farmland of the lush Tweed Valley, this 25-acre, former dairy farm is home to a relaxed Country-Style Restaurant and eco-friendly B&B Cabin Accommodation.

Open Wednesday’s through to Sunday’s for Breakfast from 9am – 11.30am, Lunch from 12pm – 3pm and Dinner from 5.30pm – 8pm with a range of menu options available to suit every taste as well as catering for all types of dietary requirements. Mavis’s Kitchen Restaurant is also open midweek between 2pm – 3pm for Coffee and Cake. Your food wont get much fresher than what you will eat at Mavis’s Kitchen Restaurant, with items being sourced locally and picked seasonally, while most of it is freshly picked not long before you arrive from their very own organic vegetable and herb garden that meanders through the orchard.

At Mavis’s you are promised a magical dining experience as you sit back and relax, savour all the flavours and take in the amazing breathtaking beauty that surrounds you. If you’re happy to sit downstairs under the shade of the verandah or a tree, you are more than welcome to bring your well-behaved dog. Owners Peter and Charlie welcome you to stay and explore the grounds. The restaurant is named after Charlies mum, the legendary ‘Mavis’ who taught him a love of food and the joy of sharing, and the beautiful old Queenslander that houses the restaurant that was originally Peter’s childhood home.

HOW TO GET THERE
From the Pacific Motorway, take the exit Route 40 Tweed Valley Way and continue into Murwillumbah town centre, then follow the brown tourist signs towards Wollumbin-Mt Warning.

SITE ACCESS
Parking is available in car parks at front and back of the restaurant.
Motorhomes and larger vehicles are best to park in the front car park.

ACCOMMODATION
Want to share your time and space with the ones you love or just give yourself some extra space to relax, this is the place for you. With an assortment of accommodation options that sleep from 2 – 10 people, this is the ideal spot for a night away from your van or to catch up with family and friends who aren’t campers.

LOG CABIN
Intimate, rustic and cosy, the Log Cabin is the perfect romantic escape for you and the one you love.

OLD DAIRY
A cottage rich in character and perfect for couples but it can sleep up to six as it also has two sofa beds in the living room.

FARMHOUSE
The Farmhouse accommodates for up to 10 guests and is perfect for BBQs and socialising. You can bring your own supplies or dine in the restaurant.
