The charming town of Murrurundi sits on the banks of the Pages River and is surrounded by the breathtaking mountainous scenery of the Liverpool Ranges. The Murrurundi Caravan Park sits amidst this stunning countryside in the Hunter Valley in NSW.
We offer a range of options to suit all types of vehicles and budgets. We have grassy or slabbed powered sites, including drive through sites and we are big rig friendly. Our unpowered sites and sites for self contained vehicles are level and grassy.
We provide clean, accessible amenities as well as BBQ facilities and a fully equipped camp kitchen with a big screen TV, where you can also warm up around our fire pit in the winter months. If you don’t feel like cooking, ask at Reception about a courtesy bus to the local pubs.
Groups are welcome as Murrurundi Caravan Park is an ideal venue to host clubs and groups with excellent facilities for your next weekend get together.
Our park is clean and comfortable and we are friendly and welcoming. The Main Street of our pretty town has been declared an urban conservation area by the National Trust. It boasts natural beauty, rich farming land, and plenty of character. Come stay and step back in time.

THINGS TO DO
Murrurundi is a pretty town, which has remained true to its pastoral roots and boasts a fine legacy of historic, churches, hotels, houses, public buildings and the original telegraph office. You can explore the history of our town on a heritage walk.
Murrurundi is surrounded by magnificent world-renowned thoroughbred horse studs. Its neighbour Scone is the “Horse capital of Australia” and during the last weekend of February each year, Murrurundi hosts the King of the Ranges Stockman’s Challenge and Bush Festival.
Foodies will want to take advantage of the area’s renowned food and wine, which includes wonderful wineries and farmers’ markets. Test your golfing skills at the picturesque Murrurundi Golf Club, or visit one of the local art galleries.
You can do a self drive tour through the countryside, exploring villages and Barrington Tops National Park. You can 4WD on many back roads and forestry trails, or picnic at Paradise Park. Explore nature’s wonders such as the Eye of the Needle and Washpools. Burning Mountain is an underground coal seam that has been burning for more than 6,000 years.
Tamworth Country Music Festival is held annually in January and we are only an hour away on the New England Highway, but with the added advantage of being 2-3 C cooler.
King of the Ranges Stockmans Challenge is held annually in Murrurundi on the last weekend in February. This very popular event gets booked out, so if you want to stay at the caravan park its best to book early.
Join your fellow campers for happy hour in the camp kitchen or around the campfire on those chilly evenings.
