Bonshaw Weir Campground is located on the bank of the Dumaresq River with lots of tall trees for shade. The site is accessible to caravans and camper trailers with area suitable for tents. It has a gravel parking area with few picnic tables, bbq, and fixed fire places.

HOW TO GET THERE
Bonshaw Weir is located just off the Bruxner Highway 16.8km South of the Texas turnoff, or 12.7km North of the Inverell turnoff.  There is about 400m of gravel road into the site from the highway; note that camping is officially on the South (NSW) bank. 

FEES & BOOKINGS
There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the nearest town or village.

THINGS TO DO
The area provides fishing and swimming downstream or upstream passing the 200 metre mark.  Platypus have been seen in the river downstream of the weir.
