Local owners Alan and Chris Mulligan, started Aussie Balloontrek over 34 years ago and offer you not only an impeccable safety record, but a variety of Hot Air Balloon flights to suit your imagination and budget. Canowindra is a natural unspoiled historic town, with its quiet pace, scenic beauty and striking panorama that is ideal for a Hot Air Balloon flight. So whether you are just passing through on your travels, staying at the local Canowindra Caravan Park or in the close by towns of Gooloogong, Eugowra, Forbes, Parkes and Cudal, this is an experience you don’t want to miss out on.

Because of its still air, cool mornings and warm days, Canowindra is often referred to as ‘The Hot Air Ballooning Capital of Australia’ The magic of flying in a hot air balloon will simply enchant you and the friendly pilot and crew will make sure that you fully enjoy your flight offering you loads of excitement, thrills, romance and new experiences that will leave you with a lifetime of memories. After an early morning wake up call to start your day, you will see the gentle giant take shape, rising from nothing into a majestic personal vehicle of flight.The hot air balloon has virtually no sense of motion and only the noise of the burner is heard as you gently lift off into the air. Sit back and enjoy the ride, leave all your cares on the ground and revel in the peace and tranquillity of hot air ballooning. You are bound to become a “balloonatic” so be sure to bring your camera or video to capture all those magical photos and memories. Your adventure will be celebrated with a champagne toast, and you also receive a First Flight Certificate and memorabilia, providing you with even more than life-long memories.

HOW TO GET THERE
Balloons take off from 125 Tilga Street, Canowindra
From south or from the Canowindra Caravan Park, turn right and follow Tilga Street, continue right through to the end and site access is the last house before the bend. From the main street of Canowindra, Gaskill Street, head north towards Ferguson St, turn right into Ferguson Street then left into Tilga Street and follow as above. From Orange travel via Cargo Road and from Cudal via Canowindra Road (B81)

SITE ACCESS
At the end of Tilga Street turn into the gate of the last house with a brick fence. Drive around the rose garden and turn into the gate on the right. Not suitable for larger caravans and motorhome but plenty of parking available on roadside.
